Community Celebration 2016

The Board of Directors for the Central California Women’s Conference (CCWC) honored 62 non-profits serving women and children with grants totaling $101,000. The organizations were recognized at a Community Celebration Grant Reception on Wednesday, May 4.

In addition to these grants, last fall CCWC donated $24,000 to six area non-profits to fight hunger in the Central Valley and through sponsor partnerships also awarded $7,500 in scholarships. To date, CCWC has donated more than $800,000 to Valley nonprofits serving women and children. Funding has benefited recipients by providing an array of services ranging from mammograms to food, shelter, clothing, education and so much more.

“Supporting women and children in our community is an integral part of this conference and we are grateful to be able to contribute to organizations who focus their work on assisting their many and varied needs,” said Tricia Holt, CCWC Board Vice-President.

Now in its 29th year, more than 83,450 women have attended the Central California Women’s Conference to be held on Tuesday, Sept. 20.
