Serena Yang, MD, MPH, is Interim Chief of Pediatrics at UCSF Fresno. Dr. Yang obtained an MPH in International and Family Health during her fellowship training in academic general pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine. She is co-director of the UCSF Fresno Pediatric Residency Research Program and director of the residents’ Community Pediatrics training. She is a member of UCSF Academy of Medical Educators and was the recipient of the Kaiser Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2016, the highest teaching honor given at UCSF Fresno. Her scholarly interests include improving access to patient centered medical homes for at risk pediatric populations and developing innovative, effective pediatric education curricula.
